Re: TTC Check In!
QOTW: As mentioned, I do have today off. My sister is coming over to make and can tomatillo-chipotle salsa with me. I spent Saturday and Sunday on the couch pretty much the whole day, since crutching is hard and I am trying to keep my foot elevated as much as possible. I watched "Adam's Rib" with Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, read all of "When You Are Engulfed in Flames" by David Sedaris (hilarious) and started "Mudbound" by Hillary Jordan (so far so good), spent a ridiculous amount of time on the Internet, and took naps. I'm getting a little stir-crazy so I'm glad to have my sister over and to have something to do. As for summer, I'm more of a fall person, but I'll miss the long days. It's hard to get up in the morning when it's dark outside!

Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012
5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN
Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer! *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581 *********William George born June 4, 2014*********I also started birth control pills again last night since I'm on cycle day 3. Because of my endo, the RE wants me on birth control for at least 6-8 weeks before IVF, which will hopefully happen late November, assuming of course we don't get a BFP before then.
QOTD: Saturday we went to visit M's mom and sis about 1.5 hours from Toronto. Yesterday we helped friends move. Today we are doing a low key day around the house taking care of household tasks.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255

AFM...
Last week my u/s showed a spankin' new cyst on my left ovary which forced a 1-week delay for this cycle. I had a little cry over it (even though in the scheme of this process, 1 week is nothing - it of course feels like *everything* when you get that phone call). I kept my Lupron at 10 and continued for another week. Tomorrow I have another u/s to check the situation, and if things look good, we will proceed with my rescheduled FET date of 9/23, starting my estrogen patches and decreasing Lupron to 5.
Here's the silver lining: 9/23 is my sister Megan's birthday. And my due date? June 11th - MY birthday! So, perhaps it's kismet. Kinda fun if it works.
QOTW: J opened cafe #3 this weekend and I have been doing various things to help her with that (worked a 5-hour shift on my feet - oh the appreciation I have for her hard work all the time!); and I worked on a new Liege Waffle program for one of her other shops. (I am stuffed with waffles). Today we are going to Bumbershoot, a huge music festival that is right in Seattle at the Space Needle. We are excited to see Alt-J and Deerhunter, among others.
I'll miss the LONG days and the epic, unlike-anything-I've-seen-in-my-20-years-here summer we've had in Seattle. Our longest day is 16 hours of daylight! Conversely, in winter it's not light until 9, dark by 4, and it's kind of a twilight all day in the really gray times. So, that will be an adjustment.
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!

I ended up testing at 10, 11 and 12dpiui and all were BFNs. I kept being told not to give up hope yet. If my period does not start by Wednesday morning, then I go for blood work. It is expected tomorrow and I have a feeling it is on the way
QOTW: C's family is involved in a horse park/camp and we have trail rides every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend, so that is what we did all weekend. I am off work today and she has every Monday off. It has been a low key day since we are both exhausted from the weekend. We picked out new bowling balls for our upcoming league and did some grocery shopping.
Me: 30 DW (aka C): 29
Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12
***CP mentioned***
We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
****All Welcome!****
We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
Hey y'all. I changed my username for privacy reasons. I'm the other girl from Indiana who was obsessing over her IUI aaaaaaaaaaaand update:
I tested on 9 dpo - BFN. I tested again on 11 dpo - BFN. My guess for this cycle = BFN. I'm going to try once again on Friday but it ain't lookin' good, ladies. It was really a long shot from the beginning with my tiny follicles and nearly expired sperm tank. I think I did the IUI way too early. I was thinking I had pregnancy symptoms (don't we all?) and now I'm thinking I should get tested for a UTI. Darned urge to pee hasn't left and if it's not pregnancy hormones then it has to be something else.
Not sure when to expect AF. My periods are already super wonky so it's impossible to say when the ol' hag will arrive. I guess I need to just push this out of my mind and move on. Still, I'll continue to avoid alcohol and caffeine until the red starts a-flowin'.
Time to start planning number 2, hopefully with better success!
