Ok, it's not much, but it really excited me this weekend.  Over the past couple of weeks I have slowly grown out of all my pants.  I've been shopping for maternity pants but plus size + maternity = $$$$.  So this weekend my mom and I found three pairs of jeans that we can convert to maternity jeans.  I spent a grand total of $30 of all 3 jeans and the material for conversion.  So instead of paying $80 a pair, I paid $10!!   Plus the jeans are super cute! 

Sometimes it really is the little things!

Wow that's amazing! As soon as you put the word "maternity" on anything, the price seems to skyrocket! lol

You need to post pics of before and after and Even a few tips on what y'all did!!! This post excites me. But I must be honest, whenever someone posts about buying things, new or used, my brain screams 'I WANT PICTURES!!!!!!' Because I'm a loser and broke and live vicariously through y'all's purchases. And it just excited me period.

Nice! Can I ask how you're going to convert them? I'm becoming a bit desperate myself. I did spend $50 on a pair of mat skinny's at Kohls (had a GC) and got another pair on clearance for $12. I will gladly spend $100 on a pair of jeans I can wear for years, but not about to spend that much on something I'll wear for 4-5 months.

@megngregk - I'm not sure how it's done.  My mom will be walking me through the process.  I will be sure to put up a post for it!  And I totally understand about not wanting to pay much!  I'm doing this in part because I can't afford $80 per pair and in part because I refuse to pay that much for a pair of jeans I'll wear for 5-7 months at this point.

There is this!  I've seen it on Pinterest.  I'm just going with my mom because she made all her maternity clothes so she's got hands on experience.
