Crabby twin... Help!!!!

Hello mommies,

My boy/girl twins are just 23 days old and my girl has started giving us a hard time. It's often during the afternoon naps and nights that she throws tantrums to sleep - She always wants to be held... If she falls asleep in our arms and we put her down in her crib, she wakes up immediately and cries. She opens her eyes widely as if she had never slept. I don't know what to do!

It takes us hours to make her sleep, where as my boy is the quiet one and sleeps whenever he's sleepy.

Any suggestions for my girl? How can I make her sleep when she's really sleepy? There are times when pacifiers/soothers don't work on her because she wants to held always... Please help!!!

Our 4 week of girl twin is the same way at times. I hold her until she is in a good and deep sleep before putting her down. I will also put on some white nose to help such a the kitchen fan, bathroom fan or the white noise app on my ipad. I don't have very good advice as I'm just figuring this all out myself.

Have you discussed with dr...could be colic? Ours started around that time.....if it is related to reflux sleeping a bit more upright might help her stay asleep longer? Sleeping in Rock n Plays really helped my guys!

Do you swaddle?  That may help her know her sleep cues, and also make her feel more enclosed.  White noise? 

At this point, she's probably sleep deprived and needs a few solid naps in a row.  Can you wear her during a nap or two, just to get her back into a good rhythm?

I second checking for reflux as well.  If she sleeps better upright, but cries when you lay her flat, that is definitely a sign.

My boys are like that. The fussy one does have reflux, but he's just needier in general.
