Anyone have any natural birthing class recommendations? I am due on Nov 29th and am having trouble finding a class in time near the Chino Hills area. We've heard of Bradley Method and Hypnotherapy and are torn between which one to take. At this point, it might depend on what we can find in time. I also didn't realize how expensive they are! Any recommendations will be helpful, especially if you know of any more economical birthing class options. Thank you!
Re: natural birthing classes?
I recommend Bradley. It will totally prepare you in every way, whether you really go all natural or not. From what I've heard, 80% of hypnotherapy people end up with epidurals because the method gets them thinking there is NO pain in birth and that's just not true. My doula has quite a bit of experience and has seen that trend firsthand.
We (my DH and I) love love love the Bradley Method. We live in San Marcos/North County SD (I'm here because I used to live up here and still work up here!), so we went to Rachel Harris in Encinitas and she had a 8 week course. MOST classes are 10-12 weeks long but not all--I would look around some more!
