So BD just picked up DS for the remainder of the weekend, and he handed me the money for this upcoming month of DS's PreK! Woot! It's not something he is obligated to pay per the CO, so it is nice that he's actually contributing.
Although, it may have to do with something I told him.... We were talking about CS last week, and it was mentioned that according to the guidelines, he should be paying more, especially considering all the over time he works.
BD got concerned and said "You're not going to go for an increase, are you? Because you know I can't afford that." (He's referring to the fact that he pays CS for DS and his DD, health insurance for himself and the kids, FSA, and taxes, not to mention his unreasonable spending habits.)
I looked at him and said "No, you said you would help with PreK."
BD "So you're going to have CS raised if I don't help with Prek?"
Me "Do you plan to not help with PreK?"
BD "No, I'm going to help."
Manipulative? Maybe. I'm not concerned.
ETA that BD previously stated (several times) before DS was signed up for PreK that he would help pay for PreK. BD and I agreed today that we would just rotate months paying for PreK to make it simpler. He paid this month, I'll pay next month, and so on. We'll see if this actually works or not....
