Need sleep

One wakes, wake the other? My b/g twins are 7 weeks old and I am craving more than 2.5 hrs of sleep in a row. My boy eats every 3 hrs and we are able to feed, change, burp and put him back to sleep in 40 min. My girl would sleep longer however we wake her to feed when he wakes and then she is awake for two pluse hrs.
Does anyone have another mothed to help our madness?

I could be in the minority here with this advice but maybe try letting your girl sleep and see how it goes? If its taking 2 hours to get her back to sleep then it could be worth a shot. Then you could wake her for the next feeding (if she sleeps through to then). Obviously it's tricky because you could end up feeding one then feeding the other shortly after if she wakes but it could be worth trying?
And believe me - it will pass! My boys were like that and it's all a blur now but eventually we just fed them and put them down in their cribs, they would fuss a little bit and fall asleep. Now it only takes 10 min to feed them, no changing or long burping and they go right back to sleep.

I was also going to suggest letting DD sleep just to see how it goes. It can't hurt for one night, right?

Agree w/ PP....at this age you can do a lot of experimenting to see what works...it's not like you're gonna mess w/ them if you change up your system for a night or two. One up both up works for lots of moms, but not everyone! Good luck either way....it is so hard in the beginning but it will get better in time....I hope you can get some zzzs soon!
