CityMini & GT users, please help

Can you tell me how to remove the covering for the crotch strap (I want to wash it). I have no trouble taking the shoulder pads off for washing, but I can't seem to be able to thread the straps out of the crotch cover... the holes in that cover don't seem to be large enough to slide the strap and buckle out. TIA,

    Never mind! I figured it out this morning. I had to take out the buckles from the strap first, then the strap slides out easily through the holes in the crotch cover.
