A good friend and her daughter (who is 6 mo older than DD) are coming to visit this weekend. And Monday we will spend at my IL's pool since my SIL will be in town. Hanging with the ILs is also something I'm not fond of doing sober.

Anywho... I am having dinner with my BFF tonight and am breaking the big news! No plans for tomorrow, but on Sunday we are having my parents, in-laws and the siblings over and we are telling them. I'm very excited! My Mom knows, but no one else does.

But when we found out we are expecting, we tried to change to more sober plans. But with morning sickness in high gear, i can barely get off the couch, so we decided not to go at this time.
Its ok though... we will still go out to dinner, depending on what i can stomach that evening, and then get some ice cream!!! So excited!! Ive been really craving some sonic... im such a cheap date.
I'm so scared of their reaction.
Visiting my 97 year old grandma at her nursing home. As I will be overseeing her care going forward. She really doesn't know who we are, but she always gives us a smile when we see her since she enjoys the company.
Labor Day BBQ at my sister's house and so long to my parents who are retiring to South Carolina (we live in Long Island, NY). This is the reason why I will be more involved with my grandmother's care since my older sister can't seem to handle it. If you can't tell, I'm slightly bitter over my parents deciding to leave the area now so my mother can be closer to (in her words) "her family" (my aunts/her sisters)...
All this in addition to laying on the couch, watching trash TV and probably eating!
DH is actually off tomorrow and Monday. Tomorrow, we will have a full day of college football and packing boxes in preparation of our move at the end of the month. My Mom is having a cookout Sunday evening (also to celebrate my Grandma's birthday). Not sure about Monday - probably working at the new house.
Side note... speaking of the "drinking weekend," DH, FIL, and I go with a couple other families to all of the Wake Forest football games. Lots of fun, lots of tailgating. Our first game was last night. My Diet Dr. Pepper didn't taste nearly as good as DH's beer looked, but I managed and still had an awesome time. Should be an interesting season!
