Moms who give Simethicone at every feed

Is this something your dr recommended or something you do on your own?
Grady is a "happy spitter." he is gaining weight fine but spits uP a lot. No meds for reflux since he's gaining etc per dr.
However ive noticed that often times he will wake up bc he's spit up some during a nap and then wants to get up etc. I burp him for st least 10 min and keep upright on my Chest for at least 10 min.
He doesn't seem to have as much of a problem at night. Usually at night I hear him spit and I can just wipe it away and he's fine but not during the day.
So, those of you that give before every feed does it help with spit up?

I put a single drop in each bottle to get rid of the foam. We only give a full dose if he is really bloated. I don't think it helps with spit up though
