Falling on stomach

Has anyone fallen on their stomach? I just took a nasty fall. Luckily my knee and elbow hot first and the hardest and my stomach barely hit the ground. Should I be really worried about the baby or is it so little and well protected that its ok? I am calling the drs when they open but just wanted to get some opinions.

I was hit directly in the belly by a fast-moving soccer ball during one of my pregnancies.  I was nervous about it and called the doctor.  They assured me that the baby is nicely protected and it shouldn't hurt the baby.  And he was right, baby was okay.  If you're worried though, I would call the doctor.  Good luck.

When I was 7 wks I fainted and felt down from stairs (about 3 meters height). I didn't know that I'm pregnant at that time though.
I checked with my fam doc, found out I'm pregnant. Happy and worried at the same time. Then got my first u/s and everything alright.
I believe as long as no bleeding we shouldn't be worried. But if I were you, I'd check it to have peace of mind.

I asked my doc about getting accidental hits from my son ... she said at this stage, baby is really deep inside, so not to worry - but to obviously try and avoid anything. She said she has experienced people in car accidents, that have been ok. The only time it didn't go ok, was a GUN SHOT TO THE ABDOMEN when she was a military doctor years ago. Are you kidding me?

Thanks ladies! Baby is ok and they said that as long as there is no bleeding everything's fine. However my elbow and knee aren't so lucky.

Agreed with pp's. I was walking my dogs when 22 weeks pregnant with DS and one of my dogs got scared by a loud car and tripped me. I fell on top of him (on my stomach) and then slammed into the sidewalk. Everything was fine (besides my bloodied knees and elbows) and they said babies are very well protected. My mom fell on her stomach on ice when pregnant with me and they told her the same thing.
