I know it's been a while- but I've been exceptionally stressed out.
Our son was born on 7/27 and placed with us on 7/29. Since then, we've just been marking time. We live in a 30-day state. So while TPR is signed shortly after hospital discharge, there is a 30 day waiting period during which the birth parents can revoke their consent to adoption. During this time, we visited extensively with the birth family, which, while we had no real concerns amped up our anxiety levels around the child placed with us.
I'm thrilled to report that we have passed the 30 day waiting period, and have two post-placement visits left between us and the ability to set a finalization date.
We are super excited to welcome our son to our family!
