5 weeks, sharp stabs

Been having off and on sharp abdominal stabs that stop me in my tracks. Not unbearable. This is in addition to my cramps that feel like menstrual cramps. My first US is 9/13. Called dr today and she told me to come 9/3. Will I see anything that early? DH can't make it w me on 9/6. A part of me feels we shud just go as planned for 9/13. Wudnt later be better in terms of US?

If your doctor says go in then you should go in.

It depends on what your goal is. If your goal is to see an US picture of your baby, then you should wait. If you want to have a doctor take a look at you and check that everything looks normal, then you should go in when the doctor says you should.

BTW, I had the stabby pains and cramps around 5 weeks, and so far so good with me.

I'm almost 6 weeks and I have had pinching feelings since I became pregnant. Doctor says its normal and just the uterus expanding. Totally normal as long as don't go on constantly and aren't super painful and or with blood. I did an ultrasound today being 5 1/2 weeks and we saw the liquid sac with the little yoak sac in it so you should def be able to see something when you go..if not even the heartbeat by then!

I has these, everything was fine for me. Called my dr and they had me come in when the pain started shooting down my leg. Ended up just being pain... Everything was fine. Call your dr, I'm sure they will make you feel better!

Does RLP start at 5 weeks? I wonder if she is experiencing that? I knew my first pregnancy it happened pretty fast but I don't have it this pregnancy yet.

Is rlp sharp/striking? I get twitching/ cramps otherwise, which I thought was rlp.

Yes, RLP can be quick sharp/stabbing pains....at least it is for me, usually happens when I make sudden movements, pick up my kids and go from sitting to standing.

I had it a 5 weeks this time...one reason I tested.

Hmm, I do get it upon movement but also when sitting/ driving.

You should see your doctor if they asked you too. However, you won't see baby yet. You probably won't see it until 7-8 weeks.

Ps. I had horrible cramps, they have gotten less intense as baby grows, I'm in week 8. I know they are scary but I'm sure everything is okay! Good luck.
