Josh and Fergie Duhamel have welcomed a baby boy into their family and named him Axl Jack. What's your opinion: good or bad?

I'm with you, but let's see! Actually, I don't think it's that (Moxie Crimefighter, Pilot Inspektor, Audio Science) bad. Axl is NMS and I like Jack, but Axl Jack does indeed sound like a car tool.

Her name is now officially legally Fergie so it makes sense she would have a son named Axl. I hate that it is missing the e... it should be Axel if she is going to go that route. I think it works for a rocker family, but I hope there are not a bunch of copy cat moms that think it will work for their normal suburban child.

Yes, but it's not his real name (which is something like William Bruce). AXL was the original name of Guns N Roses. I hate Axel - but I went to school with a little pr*ck who had that name. Seriously bad guy - probably in jail now, so there's nothing good about that name, to me.

I just read an article on US or People that seems to indicate Axl is, sure enough, a nod to Axl Rose. (One of Fergie's favorite bands is/was? Guns N Roses). Well, okay. Not sure that's the guy I'd want to name my child after but it's not the worst celebrity kid name I've heard. I love Jack but I don't think it sounds right with Axl. Maybe Jack has a special meaning to them too. The article I read didn't mention anything about where the mn came from.
