My son is tiny boy, 17 lbs. Some days he does not eat well. A friend gave me some pediasure shakes and he loves them! It says do not give to childrent under 2. He has only had 1 so far, and yes I am going to call the Pedi, but I dont know the harm would be in giving those. I have also brought up Enfagrow the to Dr, and he says LO will get the same nutrition from milk. My gut is telling me to give him something more with calories/vitamins. He currently doesn't take any vitamins at all. Does anyone else give pediasure shakes or use Enfagrow and why? I would just feel better knowing he was getting more nutrition. Advise?
Check with your pediatrician, but I've been giving my LO (now 21 months) Pediasure for several months now, as he was slow to eat solid food. (He gets the Pediasure with Fiber in vanilla flavor.)
Re: Pediasure or Enfagrow?
Giving your child liquid calories can backfire and result in him even eating less solid food.
