Ants

We have ants in our kitchen.  Does anyone know of a natural way to get rid of them, or is poison pretty much my only option?  We tend to use Raid spray/traps, but I hate the idea of putting poison in the kitchen near the food/dog/sippy cups/highchair/ my pregnant self.  Help?

Cinnamon. Ants hate cinnamon.

@Nita2603 How do I use that to my advantage?  Place bundles of cinnamon sticks around the kitchen?  Or just leave uncapped spice jars in strategic locations?
