This was me yesterday. I completely cleaned out DS' closet, rearranged his room, sorted all his toys and found room for all the new birthday finds. And that's exactly what I texted DH. "Getting shit DONE up in here!!!"
Such an empowering feeling. You go, mama! =D>

Yes, I'm so having one of those afternoons! I just had to make myself sit down and take a breather. I don't want to overdo it and set some super high expectations for DH to think I'm some kind of super-mom-wife person.

::high five::
I'm currently making a bunch of phone calls that I've been putting off for way too long (getting a quote to replace a window that literally fell apart in our hands, getting a podiatrist appointment for DD1, etc.) It feels good to cross those off my list!

There must have been something in the water today. I just now read this, but I had a decently productive afternoon. It was mostly because DD FINALLY took a nap that lasted longer than 30 minutes. I cleaned up our dining table (which we don't use for dining) of the clean laundry, junk mail, and birthday stuff that has been accumulating since I've been focusing my "free" time on my school stuff. I also swept the floor, cleaned out the litter box, and got some of DS's clothes sorted out.
Now I'm tired and crossing my fingers that DD has an early bedtime tonight.

Hooray for getting stuff done!
