I don’t know if many of you remember but I posted about awhile ago about LO being anemic and using polyvisol. Our pedi told us that it was probably an iron related deficiency and the supplement would correct it. I figured it was no big deal. After 6 weeks of forcing her to take the iron supplement the pedi had her levels rechecked and additional tests run. It turns out that the iron supplement did nothing and she is still anemic. The pedi said that most of her results came back normal but that the anemia is not iron related. After speaking with a specialist about her lab results they both feel like she needs to be evaluated. We have an appointment with a hemotologist/oncologist tomorrow to evaluate LO. Our pedi did not tell me much about what could be going on. She insisted that I not consult Dr. Google as the results may scare me. She said that since LO is slowly growing, not bleeding/bruising excessively that it is probably something minor. I cannot help but worry about our appointment tomorrow and what kinds of tests they may want to run. Please send some positive T&P our way!

Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
ETA: Our first visit is tomorrow. I am hoping that they go over the blood work that we had done with our pedi. She ran @ 5-6 different tests but did not tell the results of each just that some stuff was normal and some stuff was not.
