Did you find that your milk came in faster with the 2nd or was it about the same? I only bfed my son for about a month, but I plan on BFing longer with this baby.
I never BF'd my DS, and I have already had significant breast growth in just 7 weeks. Late in my last pregnancy I began lactating at random, but it seems to have already started this pregnancy. In the shower under warm water they get leaky. ): I don't know how common that is, it kinda freaked me out a bit last pregnancy and this one.
Hah! I don't recall lactating in the shower or enough to soak my bra with bs, but I did have crusties around my nips of the mornings. My boobs this time are huge already and they feel fuller.
Lol mine too, I had to go get a few bigger bras the other day because I'm naturally a B cup and I'm already between a C & D it's pitiful, I hope it plateaus out I don't know how much bigger they can get.
Ive gave stuff away here and there, but I think (and pray!) Its stuff I can live with out. After I had ds I said I was done, but then I got the one year itch! Ds is 16 months now.
For me... it was hard at first. B latched on great and we didn't have any problems in that aspect, but it was the process of getting use to it, and I was a first time mom so I freaked out that he wasn't getting enough even tho he was. But after about 2 weeks it got easier.
My milk came in at day 6 with my first and day 3 with my second. I nursed both for over a year
I want to ask you both, how difficult is breast feeding? DH is wanting me to try and I'm not real sure about it...
Overall once we got started it was easy. With my first, I did supplement in that first week because it took a while for my milk to come in but my daughter was also jaundiced and sleepy so I think that played a part in it.
With my second, he had a shallow latch and tore up one of my nipples, had I gotten that taken care of with the help of a lactation consultant the it wouldn't have gotten so bad.
Best advice is to seek help if you need it, dont be afraid to ask for help.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
My twins had a difficult time latching the first day. Could have been cause I delivered 36w&2d or that they were tiny (4.11 & 5.1). But after they got it I nursed them (always together) from that day until they weaned themselves at 23mo.

The hardest part for me was waiting for my milk to come in because DS would just nurse and nurse and nurse and didn't seem happy. Once the milk came in about day 4, it got a lot better. I've come to love and cherish breastfeeding. I urge you to give it a go. Get the book "The Nursing Mothers Companion" now to start getting comfortable with the idea. My son is 20 months and still nurses first thing in the morning. I know it's really tough for some moms, but you could be one of the lucky ones who find it easy. I thought it would be a lot harder than it was.
