2. When you all are referring to minimum wage, are we talking federal or state? In Washington, it's $9.19/hr. Totally a livable wage in the part of the state I'm in. Probably not livable on the west side of the state though.
3. Not all states are created equally. In Washington, servers/bartenders are paid minimum wage just like any other job in the state. So if I get shitty service, I don't feel bad about not tipping. I can afford to tip, but why should I reward you for rude behavior?
4. I agree Starbucks has some of the shittiest coffee I've ever had.
5. Let's not tax businesses anymore. I can't afford to pick up the taxes, because we all know they just pass that shit right back onto the consumer.
6. My daughter should still be in a booster seat at almost 10 years old. Call me horrible. She hasn't been in one in several years.
So as I see so many post about this I must be the only one with this opinion. But do not get a pet and then turn around after having a baby to get rid of said pet. Trying to give it away to strangers on Facebook and Craig's list. Not knowing what they intend to do with the dog. Or you send the dog to an over crowded pound. Which is over crowded because of other people like you. where they will kill it in 3 days time .. end rant. Sorry I'm so over seeing fb lists everyday about rehoming pets
@AMK1981...I flipping hate that you are "supposed" to tip your hairdresser or your dog groomer...for heaven's sake I pay more than enough for your services (at least where I live...a cut/color is ridiculous). I don't mind tipping my good ol' hometown hairdresser that I still sometimes go to an hour away because her prices are so great and she has never asked for a tip. When I went in for color last week, my hairdresser now charges on her ipad and she ASKED me if I wanted to add gratuity...just rubbed me the wrong way. How are you supposed to say no? I never got tipped for doing my job and I wiped people's asses for them...literally.
It's one thing to tip a person making less than minimum wage....no one else should expect tips.
I think if you have a problem dog, tipping your groomer is a very good idea. I have a friend that's a groomer and she will never take money from me to do my little dog's nails, and I literally have to hold his head while she does them because he freaks out and tries to bite- which is why I don't do them myself. So I have food sent to the shop for the groomers, have left stuff at her house for her dogs, etc. She posted a picture last week of a poodle she was grooming. The thing spent the entire time trying to take her hands and face off. And she hand scissored the dog's head and ears without any kind of muzzle. Owner did not tip. And you know they have to know their dog is difficult.
I'm late. But here I go.

Minimum wage where I live is $7.25. Serves get paid something like $2 an hour though.

If servers were paid at a lower rate in this state, I would never NOT tip even if it were bad service. But whereas a server/bartender makes just as much as anyone else in a minimum wage job in this state ... I don't feel so bad about not when getting shitty service!
