For those of you that have had LO's with ear infections before what were some signs or symptoms that let you know LO could possibly have one?

My LO has had two and the biggest things I saw were that she wasn't eating well and not many wet diapers. Also sleeping was awful, she would only sleep if we held her.

Thanks ladies. DS has been really fussy this week and been messing a lot with his left ear (pulling and touching). I made him an appt today just to have it checked.

my brother dealt with chronic ear infections with his first son.  He said a good test is to pull straight down on LO's ear lobe toward the shoulder.  If the ear's infected, they'll let you know!  (and it's only for a second to gauge a reaction, not to tug tug tug on the ear)

Good news from the doc...DS does not have an ear infection!
