Trip to the Dentist

I took E in for his first appointment yesterday and he did surprisingly well! I scheduled it a few weeks back when he chewed on some mulch and got a splinter in his gums... ahh, toddlerhood.

Anyway, he loved flirting with the dental assistants and opened right up for the dentist. They let me hold him and lay him backwards into the dentist's lap, which I think helped.

The good news is that all of his 2 year molars are in! We're done with teething until his 6 year molars! I feel like you ladies are the only ones who would understand my desire to throw a party at that amazing tidbit of news!

Have any of you other ladies braved the trip to the dentist office yet?

    We did. He piggy backed on my cleaning/exam appt. He bit the DDS. I was mortified, but he promised me that it happens nearly every time he sees a toddler.
    DS1 does so well at the dentist that I'm hopeful it will get better. :)
    We aren't even close to being done with teething. No sign of those molars. My guess? They'll wait until November when I have a newborn! ;)

    We haven't been yet but dd also just got her last molar and I am so.damn.excited

    That is awesome! We've had one trip to the dentist, but it wasn't for a routine checkup or cleaning. Brooklyn chipped off a big piece of her front tooth so we were checking to see if the nerve was damaged (no, thankfully!). She FLAILED and SCREAMED. Like crazy person antics. So needless to say I am not thrilled for when we have to go back.

    We have been, also for a chipped front tooth. luckily there was no nerve damage. DD2 did surprisingly well. she was very serious the whole time but no major incidents.

    DD1 super loves the dentist (which is so odd to me). she goes again this Friday and she cant wait. hopefully all this excitement continues!

    I took C in a couple months ago for his first check up.  His canines only just popped through, and I see no sign of the 2 year molars.  ugh, dread.
