For those who do not know PGAL is Pregnant After A Loss. We welcome anyone who has had a chemical pregnancy, miscarriage, still birth or loss of a child and are now pregnant again. Being pregnant after a loss comes with a lot of emotions and, while we're thrilled to be here, it's scary as well. Hopefully we can use this check-in to find support and friendship in other women going through the PGAL experience.

Note: We have concluded this round of Active Member check ins. I actually tracked activity for the last 5 weeks. If for some reason I mistakenly took you off the active members list and you would like back on simply check in and note that you would like to be added as an active member! Its great to see so many people still actively supporting each other!

How many weeks? 21w3d

What team are you: team green.

Symptoms? Hunger, still all the time. Also my belly feels heavy. Like I need to hold it underneath to walk. It's too early for that shit!

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Appointments last week and everything was hunky dory. I am feeling much better about being PGAL. Especially since I can feel LO move now.

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? Christmas. Always has been. It's so cozy and loving. Now with DD, it's just a million times better. To see her learn and experience everything. To watch my H make ash shoe prints on the carpet to the tree to show her Santa came overnight. I just love everything about it.

Symptoms? Not much lately. Still tired, more hungry than I've been in a while.

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite?Christmas!! I get to see all of my family (aunts, uncles, cousins etc.) and we get to see H's whole family too. I love getting together with everyone.

Symptoms? So hungry, still nauseated off and on, RLP

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? a/s next Thursday ... can't wait to see LO again! He's been moving like crazy today and I love that I can actually feel him. I have an anterior placenta, so I don't feel him all the time. But this morning, he was just going and going

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? Thanksgiving. I love getting together with family and just hanging out. Christmas has been far too stressful these past couple of years since we're pulled in so many directions. With the different families, someone just needs to realize that it's ok to celebrate Christmas on another day and have that be enough. Because trying to get to 5 different houses on Christmas day isn't fun at all and it will not be continuing to happen.

Symptoms? Headaches are getting to me...if my blood pressure hadn't been checked at my MFM appointment on Monday, I would be headed to my OB to get it checked again. Nausea at night has come back, but I hope it's just a temporary stay.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Anatomy scan on Monday went awesome [besides the heart thing I mentioned]. Routine OB is on Tuesday.

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? I love me some Christmas. It's the one time of the year that my family drops everything to get together, and I just love the feel of the season - cold weather, hot chocolate, Mom's cookies, decorating the tree...I can't wait for Christmas.

Symptoms? Fatigue... but that's probably mostly jet lag.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share?  A/S last week didn't show all the areas of the heart and brain so we go back.  Plus we are enrolled in a placental health study and are going in for a long u/s that includes 3d images... all free!!  So excited about that...

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite?   Probably Christmas, although you have to love passover too... it's a holiday where you HAVE to drink 4 glasses of wine to get through the religious part of the night!

Symptoms? gastrointestinal issues and just really achy.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? I had a prenatal last week and we decided I would do my follow up u/s to check on the location of my placenta at 32 weeks.

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? Thanksgiving.  It is the least stressful for me.

What team are you: team undecided. our a/s is tomorrow and we still can't decide if we are finding out...

Symptoms? Heartburn!!! every evening for the past week. Also, last night when I tried to turn from my left to the ride side I experienced RLP. Lasted only a few seconds or so, but it felt like a charlie horse in my abdomen

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? Christmas because I love spending it with my family.

- Symptoms: Just tired a lot. And starting to have bad muscle cramps at night no matter how much water I drink.  Sigh.

- Appts: Just our a/s this Friday.  EEEKKK!

What team are you: (blue, pink, green, or purple): Blue. Will confirm tomorrow at my A/S!

Symptoms? Tired, tired and tired. Heartburn is kicking in and I feel huge and sore.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? My A/S is tomorrow. I'm nervous and anxious all at once.

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? Halloween. I love that it's in fall, I love the decorations and costumes. And of course any reason to buy and eat candy is a plus in my book!

How many weeks? 20w4d, team blue!

Symptoms? I feel like my bump is way bigger the last two days. I dunno if it's fully "popped" cuz still no comments from strangers, but if I was holding my bump I think it would definitely be noticeable!

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Yay, seeing my midwife tonight and getting a follow up u/s tomorrow. I am not too worried cuz everything looked great last week we just couldn't get all the measurements - but I am so excited to see my little boy again!

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? I will be the only non-Christmas one - Halloween! I am already so excited and dreaming up costumes (cow for my black and white dog, bumblebee for my pregnant self) but I don't even know if we will have anywhere to go all dressed up. Either way I can't wait - my fave music, food, movies etc all are around the corner!

Symptoms? really just the pubic joint pain. (makes DTD interesting \:D/  )

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Nothing til next month

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? (Skip if you are hungry) Thanksgiving is my favorite. DH and I have been in charge of it for the last 7 years so we have it down to an art form now. It is always well planned out and organized in advance so we can really just relax and enjoy our company while we wait for things to cook.  Its the only family holiday where we are not pulled in a million directions and we just get to enjoy our friends and family. Also our thanksgiving spread is to die for!  Apps: cheesy pinwheels, stuffed mushrooms, artichoke dip, veggies and fresh baked bread from the day before. (put out at like 10am) Main spread- Harvest salad (with greens, almonds, apples, pears, golden raisins and goat cheese), roasted veggies (butternut squash, parsnips, carrots, brussel sprouts, and garlic) baked yams in butter, mashed potatoes, gravy, sourdough artichoke stuffing, Turkey done on the weber (I do a 3 day dry salt rub and massage on the turkey) and dinner rolls. Dessert: pumpkin cheese cake, blackberry pie and vanilla ice cream.  (everything is homemade from scratch. All produce is purchased at the local farmers market ) We seriously start prepping on Sunday before Thanksgiving but it is all worth it!

Symptoms? Just utterly exhausted all the time

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Anatomy scan next thursday the 5th Had to change it. It was originally on the 3rd.

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? I do like the winter holidays and not because of gifts but because i am able to spend so much quality time with  my family.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share?
I have an appt tomorrow for a check up. Then a/s in 2wks!

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because of the sheer amount of amazing food. I always cook a huge meal and invite alley friends and their families over (we don't have any family near where we live). I love being able to share an amazing meal with everyone else!

Symptoms? still having m/s at different times of the day, food aversions, back pain, RLP, constipation, and now insomnia!

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Had my A/S this past week and found out we are team blue- Alexander Jacob We had our monthly OB appt the day after- I lost a pound and we discussed VBAC vs RCS. Still haven't made up my mind and I came up with more questions for the OB for next appt.

GTKY: What is you favorite Holiday and why is it your favorite? I LOVE Christmas, it is just so magical. I love seeing the lights and giving people presents and seeing everyone so happy. My favorite is walking or driving while it is flurrying and looking at Christmas lights ( I must say I am also a big fan of all things fall- except for Halloween)
