Feeling Huge...

I'm a few days shy of 20 weeks and feel like overnight my belly has majorly popped!!! It's an official pregnant belly and I am feeling bigger and bigger every day!!! Anyone else feel this way??

Re: Feeling Huge...

  • I'm still feeling fat :-(. In pics I look pregnant but in the mirror or when I look down, I just feel soft and squishy.

  • Steve Harvey on TMZ described the "jiffy pop" effect when talking about Halle Berry (I think it was): one minute you look not really pregnant, then you seem to "pop" overnight, just like the jiffy pop on the stove. It has just happened to me around the same time (22 weeks now and FTM) felt like it took ages!

And yes, I watch that ridiculous crap sometimes.
  • Yes!!! I'm 19 weeks 5 days and last week didn't really look pregnant - just looked like I gained weight in my belly. I work in scrubs which are very forgiving, well this weekend I put on a regular shirt and it was VERY obvious I have a pregnant belly! Went shopping and for the first time a stranger asked me when I was due. Yesterday at work, even in my scrubs, lots of coworkers commented, "you weren't that big last week!!!"

  • I think I have definitely popped as well!  I am just shy of 20 weeks.  Lately I have just really felt fat and pudgy given my significant weight gain.  I was working out last night and I had a few comments from other people saying things like "Each week I just see you getting bigger and bigger" or "Oh I can finally see the belly! (I started wearing baggier t-shirts to help hide, umm apparantely that doesn't work anymore).

Some of it kind of hurts but when I know they are speicifically looking at my belly and not my butt when they say things like "getting bigger" I am not overly offended, yet!

  • Yes, I popped between 18-19 weeks, but it wasn't until last week that I really started to feel pregnant and feel like I looked pregnant.

  • Yes, I'm 21 weeks, and I feel HUGE. I don't really interact with people outside work, but when I do I've started getting the How soon? questions...Um...I'm only half-way, thanks.

I have a fairly short torso, and no stomach muscles to hold baby in (basically, they can split when pregnant, and that happened with DS1. I didn't know until my 6-week postpartum appointment.). So, my babies just stick out. I get REALLY uncomfortable by 8 months.
