DS1 was born on the 9th and he just got a stocking and an ornament. My ILs and Siblings got him something but we didn't. Parents of the year! This LO will be a RCS on the 13th unless he comes sooner and we plan on doing a stocking and ornament for him as well. DS1 will be 2 and we will focus on him this Christmas.
Yes but I am a STM. My son will be 4 then and he has already asked me, "Will Santa know to bring the baby gifts?" so now I kind of have to get the new baby stuff and wrap it and make it look like Santa bought it. I will probably get some practical things that he needs like bottles and diapers and a few toys.
DS was 3 months old at Christmas and we got him two small toys, mostly so we could take pictures of him "opening" it. Last year we were very low key and we probably wont' go crazy this time either--he doesn't know any better right now and he doesn't need anything since the family/friends get him lots of gifts.
We did do a new family ornament and a baby's first Christmas ornament.
I was thinking the same but I still plan on doing her own stocking with her name and knowing me I will probably find something that I will buy for her crib or stroller for her to play with in the coming months. I wouldn't feel right not getting her something even if she is a NB.
Yes, because DS and DD1 will ask why Santa didn't bring the baby anything. We will just do small things...1st ornament, some outfits, probably diapers!
Probably not, since she is due a week before Christmas and will likely be getting little "welcome to the world" gifts from family and friends anyway. And like everyone else has said, she won't know the difference anyway. Going forward I definitely plan to separate her birthday and Christmas, but this year won't matter. She will be getting a "Baby's 1st Christmas" ornament for the tree and a holiday stocking made, though.
