I'am commenting on the post you are out of line, cole does not play favorites, the abuse button is not a dislike button. and maybe you should go somewhere else where people think its acceptable for you to tell your friend if she stresses she will have a sick child.

I was thinking this! One time I asked my doctor about stress during pregnancy. She said she had patients that were pregnant during 9-11, whose husbands died in the WTC. They had healthy babies.

You are perfect, and can do nothing wrong, and when other people give you advice (btw - it's an internet forum, you're going to get people who don't agree with you) you basically tell them how you're a special snowflake so that common sense practical advice isn't going to work for you so you're just going to keep doing your thing. People bring it up because they have nothing else better to do than to stir the pot and take everything I say and twist it all up. Honestly, so little of your response made sense to me that I don't even really know what to say. I guess I'm just confused about how you can be the special snowflake that doesn't listen to anyone's advice and that it's okay for you to invoke karma on pregnant ladies and that we just have to play nice and forget about it. It's a two way street. Give respect, get respect. You're not giving, so you're sure as hell not getting. At least not from me.

I work retail (at headquarters) and we have entered our busy time of the year a couple months ago. We have also hired some new people in my department which meant more work for me while they learned their job. On top of that they eliminated a position and gave it to me. I was so stressed that within a month I got very sick with a high fever twice. The second time about a month ago I ended up in the hospital for 3 days while my kidney infection was treated. After speaking with my OBGYN we both came to the conclusion that the stress is lowering my already stressed immune system and I need to cut back my hours and work stress. I am at work no more than 6 hours a day now and my workload has been cut. I feel MUCH better. Stress is nothing to mess with it can cause serious issues.

Fair enough, but how is she telling her friend that she's hurting her baby and to CTFD helping her friend be less stressed? She got several responses about how to take her friend's mind off her stress, but she was too good for that.

I did go back and read afterward and it does look like we're all in agreement here so how is what we're saying bs, but what you're saying is not? I'd say you're the one always talking bs. Also, you know nothing of the type of person I am, unless you're saying I'm the opposite of you. In which case, I'm quite proud of that!

Eta: I don't give a damn about the kind of person you or your friend are. If you tell a pregnant woman that something she's doing will harm her child, that's adding stress to her plate!!!
