14th Percentile

So I went in to get a sonogram and the baby wasn't growing as much and they did a doppler and found that the blood flow from the umbilical cord was being restricted. So here I am hospitalized to be monitored until I deliver which could be days or weeks...I am hoping weeks so the baby gets stronger. I will be 7 months on Thursday and I just keep thinking I am lucky they found this before it got worse. Please keep us in our prayers...my goal is at least 32 weeks.

Sorry to hear this...a friend of a friend had this happien and delivered at 32 weeks. Baby is still being monitored but doing well. Best wishes!

T&P for you.
Did they say what was causing the restricted blood flow?
With my first she had a 2 vessel cord as opposed to a typical 3 vessel because the third ones blood flow got closed off at about 24 weeks for unknown reasons. I had to do BPP testing twice a week from 28 weeks till she was delivered at 37w 5d. She was a bit on the small side compared to my son but she is now a healthy 4 year old. Good luck!

I'm sorry you have to be hospitalized. I'm going through something similar. My baby girl was diagnosed as IUGR. She's only in the 5th percentile. Doc is making me quit my job, be on modified bed rest, cut out caffeine and processed sugar - naturally occurring sugars like those in fruit are fine (not that I drink a lot, but every little bit counts right now). I will have twice weekly biophysical profiles, and could possibly end up in the hospital depending on how the next couple of weeks go. I will definitely be delivering 3 weeks early, if not sooner. If her growth stalls or starts losing weight, they will take her immediately. So I know how you're feeling. I'm planning on heading over to the High Risk board and the Bed Rest board. Hopefully I'll see you over there. And if you want to PM me just to vent or talk through it, feel free. (((HUGE HUGS)))

I am sirry to hear that you are going through this...it is tough. I have a BPP thress times a week and I am being monitored every day. My thoughts and prayers are with you too and if you need totalk message me any time. HUGS
