Girl name help!

We're down to two girl names. H and I like both but his favorite is Savannah, mine is Francesca. He is afraid Francesca will become Fran which neither of us like. I feel like Savannah is pretty but kind of blah. DD1 is Annabelle Jo. Other suggestions are welcomed! Thanks!

It's on our list with the NN Frankie-- but you could also use Franci.  Or no NN.

I like that Francesca is different. She could go by Francie if you like that, but you can't control too much whether other people will call her Fran or not. Then again. My name is Susan and my mom managed to get almost nobody ever to call me Sue because she hated Sue

I love Francesca! I met a little girl with this name who goes by Chessy or Chessa. Very cute.

Have a friend Francesca and goes by Frankie and it totally fits her. I honestly don't like Savannah, it can fall in the not classy name category for a lot of people. It brings up the image of like a Hooters girl. As a suggestion I love the PP who mentioned Lucy. It goes really well with Annabelle and I think Sophie goes really well too.

Francesca. It's beautiful, and I think you can successfully stick with using the full name if there is no NN that you like

I have too strong an association with the city to like Savannah as a person name. And, when I mentioned to DH how often Savannah seems to come up on this board, I was surprised how adamantly he insisted its a stripper name. As I said, I was surprised, but thought I'd pass it on FWIW from the male POV

Thank you all for your honest opinions! I think if H doesn't want to use Francesca then we may just scrap both names and start over. I really hope he will agree to it though because it's so pretty! Thanks again!

I love Francesca! You don't need a nn or could go with what helanahhandbasket suggested and use Frankie (adorable!). IMO Francesca and Savannah aren't even in the same league.

Francesca, call her Frances for short. I like it way better than Savannah.

I personally am not a big fan of the name Francesca.  It's not a name I would ever use.
