Hi All - Intro

Hello,

I'm Nan. Have been stalking for a while, and wanted to introduce myself.

I have been married for a couple of years to my childhood sweetheart (we are both 28). We are ready to take the next step, aren't using protection, and seeing how things go. I started charting a few months ago, but haven't quite gotten the hang of it. This month I purchased the ovulation and pregnancy tests from Amazon (haven't used them.) 

We are excited to expand our family, but trying not to focus on it. We went on two vacations this summer, and hope to travel again this fall (we love to travel). We are avid hikers, and just started a new state park (we try to do all the trails) and I am slowly reorganizing the house (we have SO much stuff, trying to figure out what we need, what we need to get rid of, and what needs a little "pick me up").  I started a new position at my company in a new school (I work for an educational non-profit), and he is looking to change careers, Basically, just trying to live life. 

Its so weird, because nothing has changed, yet it feels like it has. We tried to NOT get pregnant for so long, it took a while to get used to *not*  not and prevent We haven't told anyone. Its this on going debate in my mind. Part of me is just so excited! I want to get as much information from people who know about this, like my mom and sister. But at the same time, I really don't want to tell anyone, as we know it can take a long time, and I don't want any extra pressure. That's one of the reasons I was excited about finding this community - I can talk to others in my position (TTC). 

I am excited to join the community, and hope to make some friends along the way!

Welcome and good luck. I'd advise you to keep mum on ttc. It gets brutal having people ask month after month and you have to say no. A normal, healthy couple has a 20% chance of conceiving with well timed sex every month. I'd recommend telling only one close friend or just confiding in the ladies on the bump. Maybe check out TTGP?
