Buzzkill Update

Well, SO wised up shortly after I commented in last night's buzzkill thread about people not answering their phones.  He bailed on the band he was supposed to perform with and took me home.  He tried every different method of asskissing he could think of, and then finally came out and said he was sorry.

Apparently these "encounters" were just a few of the many he had while we were separated.  And since I already knew he'd been sleeping around I wasn't so much pissed off about the encounters themselves, it was the lie that made me mad, and the fact that I had to find out in the way that I did.

Considering that the hookups transpired while we were apart and that the lie was told before I decided to give things another go with him, I was able to calm down after he owned to it, apologized, and assured me that he hasn't told any fresh lies since the moment we became a couple again.  Given that I told myself I'd give this my best shot and I haven't uncovered any lies since we started over, I'm willing to believe that for the time being.

Good for you. I don't know the back story here, but that sounds like a really rational, mature response. No matter whether SO is to be blamed for the encounters, I'm sure the situation has to hurt. I'm sorry you had to go through it.
