TMI!!!

I went off the pill a week ago and had my period last week. Today and yesterday I've had some slight cramping and now today I've had a mucus like discharge I've noticed when wiping after going the bathroom. It almost reminded me of when I was pregnant and lost my mucus plug but this was clear. Sorry this is TMI but I was wondering if not being on the pill could have caused this or if anyone has experienced anything like this.
