Im on the last nursing session before bed. Its been a rough couple days. Ds is cobstipated and fussy. One of my breasts isnt producing milk like it used to and i have a painful lump in it.

Also i got ds down then people start lighting off fireworks. And my son wakes up freakin out. My poor little man.

Fireworks take on a whole new meaning of awful when you have a LO trying to sleep. Thats awful- sorry you've had a rough couple of days!

I'm miserable. I'm having sharp pain/pressure in my pelvic region, but I don't think its contractions. It just hurts. A lot. And all I want to do is sleep.

Finding myself getting angry at just about every person I come in contact with IRL.  Everyone is just SO annoying! Also, I've been having some weird pressure/lighting crotch all day.  Earlier today it felt like how I feel right before I start my period - just some achy pains, not actual cramps.  Hoping this turns into something in the next day or two!

I could have written this post. Earlier I was hanging out with a bunch of friends, and by the time I went to leave I was so fed up with people in general- they all wanted to hug me and I was just "please, no..." Ugh. I'm feeling so anti-social right now.

I'm up with a LO with a belly ache. Found out today that I can't produce milk and so they switched her formula and I think that is causing it. The gas screams and cries are the worst!!

Feeding LO, I have one more feed at midnight before I attempt at some sleep. LO just had a poop that appeared to have mucousy strings in it so now Dr Google has me on high alert and I will be closely administering his poop for awhile. Hopefully it's nothing.

@kwrecks I've also been feeling some pressure but more on my hips and now they are sore hoping it means something for the both of us! I'm also feeling a little cranky since yesterday.

I think DS has gas. I'm hoping gas drops will help with his fussiness. I'm deliriously tired right now and DS just wants to nurse. It's been almost three hours. I tried the pacifier and he suckles for a little bit then spits it out and starts crying. I don't think he's hungry. I'm so hoping these gas drops help since I don't know what else to do and my nipples are starting to get sore.

Same here. If one more person comes up to me and says "OH you poor thing PREGNANT in this HEAT!!!"  I'm pregnant. And it's also hot. NO SHIT SHERLOCK!! Didn't realize that at all!

Just got girls down. Dh is cleaning the kitchen up from dinner. I am sitting on the couch nursing and listening to a rare Alaskan thunder storm. Hope
All that are still pregnant get relief or a baby and all with outside babies get some sleep. Reeds diaper rash is finally looking better. I hope it continues

I think I'm experiencing engorgement in my right breast. I know it's totally normal but it's making me question if I'm doing something wrong even more than I already was!

On a positive note I pumped over 5 ounces today just checking my pump out for the first time.

I have been doing everything in the book to get this baby out. If she doesn't come tomorrow I will cry.

When will the fire works stop? I get lo down and asleep then one goes off and he wakes up and im nursing again. At least youtube has that 70s show and old addams family shows to entertain me.

Also vine is hysterical during middle of the night feedings.

Watching the Pianist w hubs. Forgot how depressing it is! Little man is sleeping in his rocker. We took a long walk today, he's an outside baby for sure. Loves being outside, will quit fussing immediately when he's on the porch or backyard.

Thank you pump! My LO had a bottle 2oz plus 10 minutes on each breast.. No fussy baby tonight. Went down like a champ.

@LAMuehlen you might have a clogged duct. Take a warm washcloth and make a compress out of it and either nurse or pump on that side while you massage the area. Do that a couple times (warm compress, massage, nurse/pump) and you should get some relief.

Thanks ill try that tomorrow. Im pretty miserable right now and ds isnt happy either since hes getting no milk from that side.

DD decided that she wanted to sleep for a few hours. (The rock and play is awesome. No joke.) I am currently doing her second feeding of the night and hope to go to bed after this!

LO is up for first feeding... He went 3 hours. He's a month old and that's pretty much the longest he ever goes/has gone. I get so jealous of all the mommas who say their babies are going 4-6 hours in the first couple of weeks! This child does not like sleep. And very much likes to eat. Hoping the stretches start to get longer soon... A month of never sleeping longer than 2 hours has made this mama pretty sleepy...

Only an hour and a half at most between feedings here. Talked to LC today and hoping her tips for longer feedings help him sleep a little longer too.

Ok, no joke, DS was just nursing from 9 until just now. I had to keep switching sides and changed his diaper during that time, but still. I just gave in and put him in the rock and play when he fell asleep on my boob.

I am terrified something may happen to him while sleeping in it. I know my sister kept my niece in hers daily for several months, but she was at least a month old when she got it.

Will someone with a newborn please help calm my fears about him sleeping in it tonight?

LO is STILL awake. He will fall asleep on the boob and I will put him down for him to wake back up. He is half asleep on the boob now and I am trying to stay awake. Sleep LO sleep.

Both my boys have slept it in exclusively since the day they got home from the NICU (or thereabouts).

Just fed LO for the last time before bed. Crossing my fingers for a little bit of sleep tonight..we have to be back at the hospital at 7 freaking 30 tomorrow morning to test her billirubin levels. Also, I'm having some seriously painful "afterbirth pains". I don't remember having anything like this the first time around.

Just fed and changed LO and put her in her crib for the night. She is out. Me on the other hand am lying in bed going crazy!! My stitches are soooooo itchy!!!!!

Trying to figure out what LO needs. He's due to eat, as it's been 4 hours, and is giving all of the cues (rooting, sucking hands) but will.not.latch. So I guess we'll continue to snuggle until he falls back to sleep or decides to get busy

First feeding for the night and I have a wide freaking awake baby who doesn't look like she's planning on sleeping anytime soon. I think we have officially hit wonder week 5, we are on night 2 of wide awake baby hope this phase passes quickly!

Hello!

I haven't been active on this board in a while- I was at the beginning of our pregnancies but work/moving/general life craziness forced me to be a lurker. I'm hoping I can jump back in now that many of us have outside babies- including me (Theo came in July, 11 days early and 3days after we moved across the state!) which means much of my time is now spent with a LO attached to my boob!

Anyway- these night threads help get through the night feedings, I hope you don't mind me joining! I'm up doing night feeding number 1. DS still doesn't have a super consistent schedule so he could want to eat again in 2 hours or not til morning. Who knows?

@laMuelhen- it does sound like a clogged duct. I seem to get those every other day. Not fun! Nursing/pumping a lot plus massaging the area do help. It grosses me out to feel the huge lump but the massaging definitely helps.

@Maritza- LO doesn't like to sleep flat on his back so he's been sleeping in the RnP from like a week old.
