I'm not sure yet. His career has seen a bit of a resurgence the past 6-8 movies he's done, but he's done the super hero thing before, with not-so-great results, though I don't fault him entirely for it.
I think WB did this to avoid a cast of newbies for the Justice League movie. With Affleck in the fold, it might tempt some more quality names to sign on to play other roles.
I don't understand the casting and timing of the movie itself. The battle between batman and superman is not supposed to happen according to the comics until after the justice league had already been disbanded and they are old men. I don't understand why they are using this plot to start the justice league time line. Guess its just the uber nerd in me. (I keep it hidden most of the time, I'm just very passionate about it when it comes out)
My DH went nuts. Apparently Ben will not buff up, use bat toys, have ab shots, practice martial arts, no bat mobile and no violence. He went on a nerd vent about it. Also alot of the old Batmen are pissed.

In reality, Ben had already started training for the role before the announcement was even made. So that's not true.
Don Draper basically is Bruce Wayne, but born from poverty.
I also feel like John Hamm understands comedy and could bring a bit more fun to Batman. Love the Dark Knight trilogy, but Batman is far from a humorless character in the whole mythology.
-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.
My gf is PO'ed about him getting this role and she also went on a nerd rant about Batman. I don't really care for Batman myself so I have no opinion on the matter
@LuckyDad The Robins were kind of annoying in the live action movies since the first Robin was nine when he joined Batman. The first Robin went on to be his own hero called Nightwing and according to my gf after that all the Robin's sucked
Hubby is a Nightwing fan. Hypothetically if Beiber was to be Robin and they were following the 52 series then they would have to kill him off just like in the comics.

It would depend on which Robin he would be playing. There were five different Robins (One being a girl) and out of all of them only the second Robin was killed. My gf hates the new 52 series they just bug her

Although I did like The Town.
It's a really weird casting choice. I think that's why people are up in arms over it.
Daredevil was terrible.
Who would you have cast?

I would shove my head in a turbine if they picked the Biebs to be Robin for reals.
