The Plan

We had a great, quick visit with our RE about #2. He basically said that whenever we are ready, we will go the path that worked for us last time. That was Follistim and IUI, so that is our plan. The only thing we had to repeat was some blood work. The husband and wife panel, as they call it, for infectious diseases and then TSH and prolactin for me. As we were leaving, I Google mapped the closest lab for the blood draw and there was one in the same building, so I dragged DH in to get that over with hehe. There was no one else waiting, which is rare, so it was quick. We are all ready now. I will just call in on day one of my next period and they will quick order the meds. It's so crazy to think that we are doing this again, but we are so excited for #2. 

For some reason, this time, I am not sure that I want to share on my blog. Or with any friends or family, except maybe my Mom. It's weird because I have always been open and an over sharer, but I think I want everything about #2 to be more of a surprise. I also decided to go Team Green this time. Thanks for all of your support, ladies

That all sounds really great!  Congrats on a great appointment, and getting all the b/w taken care of so quickly and easily. 
I think it's perfectly normal to want to keep it secret this time.  IF takes so much of the fun of TTC away from us, why not try to make it a little more exciting?

Wow sounds like everything fell into place. So exciting!! Love how you dragged YH to get labs. Why not?! You are already there. Good for you. Yay!!

Sounds like a great plan!!  I agree about keeping it secret this time, too... I don't know what it is, but we'll be doing the same.  And go team green!!!!!  So much fun!  Good luck to you

Good luck! We have also decided to be secretive on ttc #2, although I did tell my mom and a couple close co workers. I admire people that are team green, lol, I just don't think I could do it.

That's awesome! Glad today went so smoothly! Hopefully the rest of the process will and you'll be pregnant with #2 very soon! Cracks me up about finding the lab so quickly! You were a woman on a mission!

I don't blame you for wanting to keep it secret. We've talked about how nice that'll be but since we have to travel so far (cpl of hours) to the RE I don't know if it will be possible. Good luck!!

And I know I've mentioned this before but we kept our IVF a secret last summer. Very few people knew. Best decision ever. IF robs us of so much, it's bad enough that sometimes our husbands aren't even in the room when we get pregnant, that I was a big believer in being able to make a surprise announcment like you'd get to with a normal pregnancy) while I know this thought process is not for everyone - I too will be doing it when it comes time for round 2.
