Home study almost complete!

DH and I had our individual interviews and our couple interview this week.  Monday the social worker is coming to the house to make sure we have utilities (lol) and to go over our are you open to XYZ/will you consider XYZ check lists.  She said she should have our home study completed and approved within a couple of weeks!  Super excited to be moving along.

    Yup!  Once the home study is approved and we've completed our profile page (1 page front and back of pictures & info about us), we'll be officially "waiting" for an expectant mom/family to pick us!

    This makes me so happy! Our home study also included checks for fire extinguishers, a carbon monoxide detector, and smoke detectors in bedrooms, just FYI.

    Yeah, I asked if she would be looking for anything specific and she literally said that we have a residence and working utilities, lol. We do have all the things you mentioned, though. :)

    This reminds me of a story our caseworker told us. She went to do a HV and the family was remodeling their kitchen. Everything was torn out except the fridge while they were installing the cabinets. They failed because they didn't have a working stove or kitchen sink. Oops.
