My baby is 10 weeks old. She loves her activity gym. We go for walks around the neighborhood. What else can I do with her to keep her entertained when she is awake?
I agree with the books suggestion, I read books to my baby since she was a newborn. In a month or two you could get her a jumperoo, once she has good head control.
I sing songs to her like Wheels on the bus, patty cake and where is thrumbkin. I do the hand motions along with it. Just this week she started "singing" along with me and smiling/laughing, so she is a fan. Either that, or she is laughing at me, which she does after doing something mischievous like pee on the changing table. Even if you can't carry a tune in a bucket, most babies love singing. My 10 week old has excellent head control for her age, so we started putting her in the exersaucer with a blanket around her waist to help stabilize her. She can tippy toe to reach the floor, but loves the bright colors and to be upright.
