Hydronephrosis?

Yesterday DS was diagnosed with hydronephrosis after getting a UTI a couple weeks ago. His doctor said that according to the ultrasound result, the swelling of the top of the ureters was mild. She just doesn't know what is causing it just yet so we now have to go to Children's to get a MAG-3 test done. Does anyone have/had any experience with this? Did your baby outgrow it? Did they have to have surgery? How long did it take to go away? I guess I just need some reassuring news/thoughts on this. TIA
