Need Nashville ob recommendations

Hello all,

I am new to Nashville and a first time mom to be! :-) My husband and I are very excited. With that said, I am looking for recommendations for a ob. I am about 6 weeks pregnant and the doctor I was going to see can't see me until 13.5 weeks (is that really late?!?) and am second guessing going to that doc. Hoping you can help me out with any other doctor recommendations. Also, any feedback re: delivering at Vandy vs. Centennial?

Thanks all!

Re: Need Nashville ob recommendations

  • I highly recommend Dr Jacequeline Rodier. Her Dr office is in the building attached to Centennial. She delivers babies at both Centennial and Baptist. I have heard nothing but negative things about delivering at vandy. People say their childrens hospital is great! But labor and delivery not so much.

  • I LOVE Vandy!

The women's clinic is wonderful and the l&d unit in the hospital is excellent.

    I highly recommend them. 100%.

  • Try Women Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Amanda Barrett is amazing. She can deliver at St. Thomas Midtown (Baptist) and Centennial. I toured both but preferred St. Thomas.

  • You can try Dr. Catherine Thornburg at Tennessee Women's Care.  She delivers at both Baptist and Centenial.
  • One more suggestion is dr. Carl Wingo also delivers at both centennial and baptist and was relived to hear a lot of the nurses go to him :)
  • Women's Medial Association - All the doctors are wonderful and I saw Dr Yu.  They all deliver at Baptist and Centennial (I chose centennial)

  • I'd highly recommend the Heritage Medical Group.  I'm 5 weeks or so and my doc there could get me in with a weeks' notice.
