Maya Wrap rave!!

I have been relentlessly trying to find carriers that LO is ok with because this boy hates being away from mommy!! He hated ergo and other ones like that, neither of us was comfertable with the moby, so I didn't have high hopes for the maya, but he's sleeping and my arms are getting a rest! I feel super crunchy granola walking around our little shopping center with him in it but he's calm, looking around and even fell asleep! I'm one happy mama.

I LOVE my Maya wrap! I've been wearing DS since he was 3 weeks in it. He loves it! It goes everywhere with us! And I get tons of comments on it.. From other new moms, moms with grown up kids saying they wish they had something like that back when their kids were little. I even got a comment from an elderly man last week about how adorable (and happy and quiet!) DS was in it and how his wife would have loved it when their kids were babies.

It was especially great when DS was a newborn because the second I put him in it he'd fall asleep!

We love the Maya too!  We have been using it since she was teeny tiny, along with the Moby.  Love them both!  I just love baby wearing in general, it is so much easier to get things done and still snuggle your little one.  It's also much easier for going out than dragging the car seat or stroller around.  I have only used our stroller a handful of times actually, we wear her 90% of the time.

I'm just now jumping on the baby wearing bandwagon & so far I love it! It was easy to carry my little chunky monkey around when he was little little but once he cracked that 12lb threshold my arms were wearing out, not sure how I made it this long without a carrier!

Those that have ergos and didn't like them, I'd suggest trying them now that our los are bigger. My Lo hated it up until about a month ago, and now he loves it. I was about to get something else and then BAM he was ok with it.

Are you front wearing or back wearing with your ergo? We had a Bjorn and my son loved it, but my back didn't and then I read how horrible it is for their spines and pelvises. The only draw to it was he could face forward and see everything, can't do that in the ergo. Anyway, tell me how you're wearing them with it, maybe he'll like it better!

I'm front wearing because he's not big enough for back wearing yet...and I'm not ready yet LOL. Maybe when he's closer to 12 mo. I propped him up for a bit so he could see over but now he doesn't need to be propped. I think he'd love something front facing, but it's just not good for them at all so this is it for us.

He also sucked on the straps for a while so I made covers and he stopped LOL.
