DH and I have been planning on going to Michigan's Adventure but know
that I know I'm KU I'm thinking it's probably a bad idea, right? What
would you do?

Definitely no roller coasters. With my first pregnancy I went on 1. I got bad stomach pains while on it and the next week had a mc. Don't know if it was the cause but roller coasters are a no no
I called my OB because I found out I was pregnant the day before we were supposed to go to an amusement park and the nurse told me that it wasn't a good idea with all the flipping and jerky movements...plus the pressure of the bars on your stomach is just not good...so I ended up not going and selling my tickets ...but it's all for a good reason
I heard somewhere (and therefore cannot confirm) that the risk is the force of the turns/drops/etc pulling the placenta off the uterine wall, which would cause a miscarriage.
There are probably some tamer rides that would be okay- like a merry-go-round or Ferris wheel. Also, there's always good junk food in the parks!
Ok I'm one of those loss people too BUT, with my first successful preg. my OB had told me ahead of our WDW trip that in my first trimester it should be fine to do roller coasters. I went on more than 1 roller and my kid is fine. Maybe he'd be taller if I didn't go on the rides :P
I don't know, I wouldn't do it AGAIN so I can't recommend it, but I'll be honest and say I've done it.
I take the idea, if I can't bring my 4 year old on then I don't go on while I'm pregnant.
Now I did ride some roller coaster and water slide during both my previous pregnancies but I didn't know I was pregnant and I was between 4-5 weeks at them time.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
I'd only be 4 weeks+4 days so I feel like it would be okay. But I know that if I did end up miscarrying I would blame myself so much. So I think it's just not worth it. We'll find something else to do.
Thanks for all your input, ladies!

My midwife told me last time that anything that didn't create unnecessary pressure or push on my belly would be fine, so I rode everything at the amusement park but the coasters and this time around we'll be at WDW in November and I plan to ride everything I can there too.
I wouldn't either. My friend went for a quad ride early in her pregnancy... It was a short ride but it ended up giving her an "irritated uterus". Baby and her were fine (baby is 4 years now) but it was scary for her.
I went to Six Flags the other day since we have season passes & they had free passes to bring friends. The only things I could do were the lazy river & wave pool in the water park. Everything else had a sign that said it's not safe for pregnant women. I don't think it matters how far along you are- it's not worth the risk.
