Prepping Diapers - detergent

I am so confused when it comes to prepping my diapers and I feel like that GMD how to booklet really contradicted itself. 

I have GMD newborn workhorses and prefolds.  I was planning on using Rockin' Green but the how to booklet from GMD says not to use anything with sodium percarbonate in it, which it has.  Then I was going to use Tide Original Powder but the book says that it has optical brightners and doesn't recommend those.  I've used all free and clear for the rest of the baby stuff but that's lumped in the same category as Tide.  I'm so stuck.  I really don't want to screw these up before I've even started. Please help!

Mamas on this board use both of those detergents... You would be fine. We use tide original and have never had issues with it, although some babies can be sensitive to it.

Yeah, either is fine, especially with cotton diapers like GMD. You won't ruin them, promise.
