IUI #5 Done

Yesterday we went for my 5th IUI. I have been doing blood work daily since last Friday. Sunday showed the LH level a little higher but not high enough for IUI to take place on Monday. So blood work Monday showed a bigger LH level IUI for Tuesday. I had been nervous the past few days because ultrasound tech wasn’t sure if she had seen a fourth follie and if there were four they would cancel the cycle. Tuesday I go in prepared for IUI and then thinking might need to come back a little later for IUI so they have time to prepare the vial. Well the vial was already prepared so I was more nervous because I didn’t want the vial to go to waste if there were four follies and they wanted to cancel. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Well ultrasound showed that the eggs, whatever number there are had already released so we couldn’t get a measurement. I asked if it was too late for the IUI to work and Dr said it would be fine the eggs are just waiting for the sperm I am still within the fertile window and suggested to move forward with IUI so we did. I was happy for no cancelled cycle but I am wondering how many follies and how large they were but I guess I will never know.

On a sad note right after the doctors walked out happy I check my phone and had a voicemail from a cousin. Turns out my aunt had passed away that morning. Its hard because she had always been there since I lost my dad 5 years ago. She was only 53, I am still in shock. This has been a rough few years in the past 5 years I have lost my father two grandmothers a grandfather and now an aunt. I have my fair share of deaths I am ready for some more positive life changes.

You are so right, I knew I wasnt happy with the tech that did the ultrasound. The whole process just took longer than normal and she kept remeasuring the follies. I truly felt like she counted one twice and thats how she came up with four. Right away SO and I noticed two on the right and one on the left. I left feeling like unhappy about it I should have spoken up that day so that way I would have more info. But I cant change anything now. Just know for next time.
