How often does your FF babe poop?

Just curious since the topic of poop was brought up this morning... How often is your FF baby pooping these days?

DD poops a ridiculous amount (IMO), pretty much every time she eats so 6-8 times per day.  It's exhausting...for both of us.  She's on Nutramigen for cow's milk and soy allergies so I don't know if that makes a difference.  I must say, I'm kind of envious of those babies that only go a couple times a day.  She had the biggest poop of her life at 3am and it went all over her magic sleepsuit.  :(

  • About once a day now.  Before we figured out that she needed the Gentlease, it was ridiculous the amount of poop she would have.

really? without the gentlease, S wouldn't poop for days and her tummy hurt because of it! She does get a mix of BM and formula though

I suppose it could be a coincidence, but the frequent very runny poop stopped after we switched.

  • Once or twice a day, max
  • Pretty much every other day... but when he goes, it's definitely 2 days worth, if you know what I mean. Very rarely is it not a blowout.

Interesting...S has always had pretty runny poop regardless of how often she pooped, but now we're back to 1-3 times a day whereas when she was on regular formula it could 2-3 days between poops.

  • 2-3 times a day - first thing in the morning, sometimes in the early afternoon, then around 6-7 in the evening

  • Thanks for your responses, ladies!  I guess I'll bring it up with the pediatrician next week to make sure 6-8 times isn't unreasonable/unhealthy.  She must just be full of $hit.   :))

  • My LO is also on Nutramigen and goes anywhere from 1 to 6 times a day with a really full one right away in the morning and little ones in the later afternoon/evening. I was told by my Pedi that since nutramigen has real no "filler" like regular formula, the more frequent she will go but it really depends on the baby. So it could be perfectly normal :) I was also told that if there is any mucus is fine as long as there is no blood and if she is acting normal etc.

Thanks!!  DD is definitely doing a LOT better since changing her formula to Nutramigen.  It was a rough 3.5 months before that.  I guess she just a good pooper.  Ha.  She's had no blood since the switch.  :)
