GMO's in formula

Re: GMO's in formula

  • Posting something to an online message board and then getting mad when someone disagrees with you is silly. Maybe that is the wrong word to use, but on here we have discussions, and I for one value different opinions than mine because it adds to the discussion and then I get to learn and possibly grow as a person.  If I see someone post something that I don't agree with, I might respond with my point of view. If you only want people to agree with you, you are going to have bad luck here.

Again I was not looking for people to agree with me! I was looking for information on formulas that do not contain GMO's! I seriously don't know why I am even wasting my time defending myself! Your probably right though this board is not for

  • Yup I'm crazy and can't comprehend what I read!

just commenting that there was no need to get so defensive over a joke.

    And poison? Really? Come on.

GMO's should not be in baby formula!
  • Your right it is! In sorry hormones I guess! I am strongly against them though and regret that I did not do my research before feeding my first son similac!
  • Thank you for asking this question! I fully intend on breast feeding but as a FTM, who knows what my body will do! I may need to rely on a formula that is Gluten, Lactose, and GMO free. (My poor child)

My siblings and I had such a difficult time on formula (Along with many cousins) and I want to start my baby off on a positive note by excluding the things that my diet is free of... Then introducing gluten, lactose later in life.

Side note: I take L-Carnitine and researched it once I became pregnant to be sure it's safe. I learned that it helps with fertility, healthy baby weight and calorically dense breast milk. If you haven't tried it, it's worth a shot! Relatively cheap. Take first thing in the morning with vitamin C to aid absorbtion. Good luck!
  • We eat mostly organic or local in our household but I was seeing what my options are! I read that there is something in organic that babies should not have but they never said what it was. I will most likely feed him organic if my boobies fail me again :( Organic formula is more costly so it's nice to have options!
Organic brown rice can contain arsenic.  That was the baby food scare recently.
Is it only the brown rice?
I think it was actually only one grower who supplied one particular brand last year -- there was a wide recall.

Thanks for the feedback I will look into L-carnitine! I think people use to take that for working out if I remember correctly. I will talk to a lactation consultant. Hoping for the best this time, I'm hopeful.
    Thanks again!

I honestly thought you were mocking my opinion when you said if only we loved our kids more we wouldn't give them enfamil. Because it was on my comment I thought you were mocking me and my opinions and then you swore at me so i got defensive. If that was not your intention to mock me then I apologize! I am new to the board and did not realize your comment was only directed to the person you quoted. I thought it was directed towards me since I was the one who put of the question.

Anyway I'm sorry if I upset anyone with my exclamation points in my comments. I honestly never even realized how much I used them. I just looked at my Facebook page and its all I see. That's going to be a hard habit to break. (It was so hard not to use one) thanks for pointing this out.
