What do you think of Coraline? I'm not a big fan of Cora as a standalone [I think of an apple core or something] and I dislike Caroline.

People's eyes will "correct" the swapped letters of familiar letter patterns, so if you choose this name I suggest you also choose to be ok with regular spelling and pronunciation corrections from Caroline to Coraline.

I do like Coraline, I think the name is known enough that it wont be mistaken for Caroline so much.   I know one little girl named Coraline.

I love the typo story, for some reason it makes me like it even more.

I am obsessed with the movie so I could never name a daughter Coraline. People would think I named her after the movie. That aside, I like the name
