An unusual name story

We adopted DD shortly after birth. Her birthmom chose a name for her just to have something on her birth certificate instead of Baby Girl LastName. When we met, we shared the name we chose and everyone was totally on board with it. We officially changed her name, but my ears perk up whenever I hear her pre-adoption name.

Today we were at the playground and this mom starts calling for her daughter. It turns out her daughter has the same FN and MN that DD had when she was born. It was so wild to hear that yelled across a playground!

Wow that is pretty weird.  Same FN is one thing but the FN/MN combo would jar me.

Definitely surreal. I just kept staring at the little girl and DD, and knowing I wasn't about to unload this whole story on the mom.
