No-cry sleep solutions

I was reading old posts and a lot of people talked about how no-cry methods didn't work for them. I'm wondering if anybody out there has a positive story about. We want to get Hannah to sleep earlier in the evening, so thinking some kind of sleep help. I like the idea of no-cry, but haven't heard a lot of positive stories. Thanks

Re: No-cry sleep solutions

  • If you post on the Toddler board, I'm sure you'll find some people it worked for. Based on my experience and that of my friends, it can work well for a baby that wants to sleep and just needs a little help. It's babies like DD who are just terrible sleepers that don't really benefit from the no cry suggestions.

  • I read no-cry nap solution. I picked up some good tips. Watch for tired queues, socks and shoulders covered. We have a no nap after 5pm rule (bedtime is at 7). However, I nurse to sleep, which a lot of people aren't huge fans of since it creates that association. J gets in bed with us after her first wake up. J doesn't cry and we are very pro-AP.

You might post over on the attachment parenting board. They are big no-cry fans.
