Starting to freak out a little bit...

I had my c-section 6 wks ago.  I HATE the doctor who performed my c-section and had to reschedule my 6wk appt so I wouldn't have to see her and will instead see my regular doctor.  HOWEVER, she didn't have an opening until 8wks pp.  One spot of my incision has been bleeding off and on since about 2 1/2 wks pp.  When I called about it, the nurse practitioner said it was probably just drainage and I didn't need to come in.  Well, it is still bleeding and my stitches have not dissolved.  I'm worried I might have an infection.  I have a cousin whose incision was infected and they had to cut her back open to remedy the situation and I am TERRIFIED that my doctor will say this needs to happen!!!!  I will be calling them today to see if I can come in tomorrow for them to look at it.

I've had the same problem. I'm 9 weeks PP and still healing. I haven't had to be reopened yet. I saw a new doctor at my practice today, and he has started packing it through the small openings that are already there. Good luck. I hope your appointment goes well.

I would think they would get you in a lot sooner! My csection incision was pretty well sealed up and the stitches dissolved within a week! If I were you I would call and insist on being seen sooner. I worked for a doctors office. They usually keep spots blocked for emergencies. (They don't want you to know that.;)) If it is still seeping then it is most likely infected and that is dangerous. GL!
