Has there ever been a NICU check-in?

Or is this something anyone might be interested in? Just a weekly check-in for those of us with babies currently in the NICU, sort of like the bed rest check in over on high risk, somewhere we can vent, share milestones, etc. Thoughts?

ETA - I guess weekly might not work since many babies aren't in for that long...

Not all NICU stays are that short. My daughter has been in the NICU for 11 weeks!

I don't remember a regular one but like Boston said everyone is welcome to do individual updates or you can start one. Weekly seems to be appropriate in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies ladies, definitely cool with just posting individual updates! @dandywarhol, I've just noticed more posters in the 30-something weeker category, I know there are a lot of us in it for the long haul as well. We hit 2 months yesterday. Hope your LO is doing well!

I intro'd a week or so ago. Anyway, is be interested in either. We're 2.5 weeks in, but anticipate at least 6-8 more.

Thank you! So far so good, considering. She's doing well, although I think her breathing could be doing better. She's on a cpap, but wavering with peeps and says. She's almost 33weeks corrected, born at 30.

How about your LO?

Glad your LO is doing well! Hope she's switched to the cannula soon! My boy was born 9 weeks ago today at 27w2d so he's 36w2d adjusted. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, he's only needing his feed via gavage every third feed, all we're waiting on is for him to nipple every feed, the nurses think he'll be there really soon!

Wow 27 weeks! Glad everything is moving along--hoping he starts nipple feeding soon! It's reassuring to hear positive stories. Discharge seems so far away still...
