Are there shots at the 9 month appt?

Nope. 12 months should be the next time unless you've gone with a delayed schedule.

We got a 4th hep-b shot but that was it and the doc checks for anemia as well and that's a toe prick. I honestly wasn't expecting a shot.

Interesting. Do you know if the iron check is standard at your pedi? Mine has never mentioned it.

It seems to be. I was checking their website and the standard wellness check ups and it's listed there. I didn't even realize they had that up or I would have known what he was getting the whole time .

but now i'm going to have to go check his shot chart cause he should have only had three hep-b's and I know when I added it to his shot record, it was number 4... maybe something got put in the wrong place.

At our 9 mo. appointment, the pedi told me that it was required by our state. We have to go to a lab though to have it done.

Our 9 month appointment isn't until next week, but with DD (yes, I know, she is almost 12, so things may have changed...) there was no iron check.

Our doc said the 9 month is just a weigh and measure appointment. He never mentioned checking iron and said no more shots until 12 months.

Interesting on the going to a lab to get it done. Ours just did it right there.

my 9 month appointment she received her last hepatitis shot and flu shot. 

My pediatrician sent me for blood work for anemia a few weeks prior to her turning 12 months.
