Lately I've seen the name Maeve....if it's pronounced how I think it is, I think I like it!  PS- I am not pregnant, I am just a loser and keep a word document on my desktop to document names I hear that I like for baby number two:)

Is it pronounced like May-vee, or, like the color Mauve?  Mave? (rhymes with shave)....pardon, I don't know how to do phonetic spellings the correct way, lol.

Mayv/Mave is correct. A FB friend of mine named her daughter Maeve. I love it.

I'm kind of with you. I don't dislike it, but not feeling it. Something about the sound of it I think. But, not a bad choice. Established name, familiar spelling and pronunciation (at least I thought so before reading a couple of these posts). While its NMS, it is one for which I say, OP, if you love it, go for it.

If you pronounce it any other way you are incorrect.
